| It is our great honor and pleasure to announce that the 9th Asia Pacific Gastric Cancer Congress (APGCC) will be held on 24 - 25 March, 2023 in Da Nang city, Vietnam. | |
| Since the first conference was organized in Singapore in 2006, APGCC has been a biennial scientific meeting of gastric cancer research and forum for gastric cancer surgeons, gastroenterologists, oncologists, and scientists in Asia- Pacific region to share their experiences with each other. | |
| This Congress will devote to its theme “Gastric cancer management: from resolution to revolution”. Significant advancements have certainly been made in gastric cancer management. In recent years, minimally invasive surgery has become a favorable option not only for early gastric cancer but also for advanced gastric cancer. Functional–preserving surgery and robotic surgery have been practiced worldwide, including in Vietnam. Multidisciplinary approaches, including chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immune checkpoint inhibitors, and surgery, should be recommended for advanced GC. Besides, the diagnosis and treatment of EGC have been remarkably developed with the wide application of image-enhanced endoscopy and artificial intelligence (AI) technology... With recent innovative research in the field of gastric microbiome and molecular biology, a better understanding of GC molecular mechanism and response to adjuvant therapy has been reached, enabling us to enter a new era of personalized treatment of GC. | |
| This year scientific program will comprise of plenary lectures and symposiums of the recent innovation, research and operative/endoscopy videos of gastric cancer. We hope that APGCC 2022 will be the forum to meet the experts, and to enhance bonding within the community. | |
